Dovizioso topples Marquez to hold sway in FP2
Andrea Dovizioso remains rooted to the top spot following FP2 at Mugello in Italy, knocking Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez back to second place two minutes from the finish to repeat his FP1 feat. Dovizioso bettered his time from the morning session as he upped the tempo with a lap in 1m 47.479s to head MotoGP world champion Marquez by 0.164s, who still seems less than pleased with the handling of his RC213V at the legendary Italian track. The consistent Jorge Lorenzo slotted into third on his Movistar Yamaha with a time of 1m 47.852s, which left him 0.373s behind Dovizioso, who managed his provisional pole lap using the medium rear tyre on the GP15.
