Kent: Main thing for us extending championship lead

Danny Kent was pleased to consolidate his championship lead after missing out on his fourth win of the season by 0.07s in a pulsating Moto3 encounter at Mugello. The Englishman intended to try and break away in the first five laps after comfortably claiming pole position by on Saturday. His morning warm-up pace, some 0.69s faster than the second best man, confirmed Kent could comfortably run alone in the 20-lap race. However, Mugello's sizable front straight punished his greater height as the 21-year old consistently losing around three to four tenths in the final sector.
