Laverty pragmatic as he loses out on Aprilia MotoGP seat
Michael Laverty is disappointed he isn’t going to be able to show his potential on the Gresini Aprilia in MotoGP after the team decided to give Stefan Bradl the seat vacated by Marco Melandri. MCE British Superbike rider Laverty did ride the Aprilia RS-GP in the blue riband class in Germany, after Melandri departed the team. But now he is feeling frustrated that he only had one race to show what he was capable of, and would have liked the opportunity to have gone to Indianapolis next week. Former Moto2 champ, Bradl will now compete in the remaining nine MotoGP races onboard the second Aprilia Racing Team Gresini bike, alongside Alvaro Bautista.
