Smith eyes top satellite kudos in Texas

Monster Yamaha Tech 3's Bradley Smith has hailed the Austin MotoGP as a 'special' race as the British rider sets out with the aim of finishing as top satellite rider at the Circuit of the Americas. Smith, who finished a strong fifth in Texas on the M1 last year, had to give way to fellow Brit Cal Crutchlow in Qatar in the battle of the satellite riders, but he is optimistic that he can turn the tables on Sunday. “Now it's time to head across the Atlantic to Texas which is a special race and certainly an event that everyone looks forward to, so I can't wait to jump on the Yamaha and get going,” said Smith. “I like the track with its good mixture of tight and meandering corners plus...
