Marc Marquez confirmed for Jerez

Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has confirmed he will ride at this weekend's home Spanish Grand Prix. The Spaniard had a titanium plate inserted into his left little finger after suffering a displaced fracture when his hand was run over during a dirt-track training accident, last Saturday. An initial statement from Repsol Honda said only that Marquez had “not been ruled out" of Jerez. But already 30 points behind title leader Valentino Rossi, it would have been a surprise if Marquez elected not to at least try and ride.
