Marquez: My finger hurts a lot

Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez admitted that his injured finger caused him considerable pain as the reigning MotoGP champion finished third fastest overall on the combine times on day one at Jerez. Marquez improved from eighth in FP1 to finish second fastest behind Movistar Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo in the afternoon. He posted his best lap of 1m 39.428s in FP2 to end the day 0.254s down on Lorenzo but was satisfied overall as he continues to recover from surgery after breaking the little finger on his left hand in a dirt bike training accident following the Argentina round. “We can be happy that my hand has responded quite well today - as well as could be expected,” Marquez said. “It hurts...
