MotoGP Mugello: Iannone takes pole; disaster for Marquez

Injured works Ducati star Andrea Iannone has taken his first ever pole position for tomorrow’s Mugello MotoGP after bagging a perfect tow from second-placed man Jorge Lorenzo to set the fastest ever MotoGP lap at the Italian track. But it was disaster for reigning champion Marc Marquez who didn’t make it out of qualifying one after being pushed out of the top two by a last fast lap by Pramac Ducati’s Yonny Hernandez. Marquez will start from 13th on the grid after struggling to stop his RC213V twice into turn one. A small tantrum ensued.
