Bradl undergoes surgery on wrist

Forward Yamaha rider Stefan Bradl has had surgery on his right wrist after fracturing his scaphoid bone during Saturday's Dutch MotoGP. The German suffered the injury after crashing just five laps into the race at Assen. Bradl received immediate treatment at the medical centre, with tests revealing the extent of the injury. As a result, the 25-year-old went under the knife on Monday in his home town of Augsburg. Hand specialist Dr Stefan Krischak led the operation in which a small screw was inserted in his wrist to reduce and repair the fracture.
