Bradley Smith feels his contract negotiations acted as a mental distraction which may have impacted his performances for Monster Yamaha Tech 3 before agreeing to his new one-year deal for 2016. The English rider's team-mate Pol Espargaro's new deal had been announced at Indianapolis while Smith made his frustrations obvious as his own contract talks stalled.
