Redding elated by maiden MotoGP podium

– Marc VDS rider Scott Redding expressed his elation after he claimed the first podium of his MotoGP career at the San Marino Grand Prix.Redding, who will switch to Pramac Ducati next season, surged up from 13th on the grid but crashed at Turn 4, dropping down the order when wet conditions struck the circuit.Redding opted to change back to slick tyres earlier than his rivals and profited, moving up to fourth position when the remainder of the pack pitted before passing Loris Baz for third place."When it started to rain I knew I had nothing to lose and pushed hard on the slicks," said Redding, who took his first podium since winning his home race in Moto2 in 2013."But I...
