Marquez in doubt for Jerez after finger surgery?

Reigning double MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has undergone surgery after fracturing his left little finger in a dirt track training accident. As a result the Repsol Honda star, already 30 points from Valentino Rossi after their dramatic clash in Argentina, is yet to be confirmed for next weekend's Jerez race. A statement from Repsol Honda said only that Marquez's participation in the Spanish Grand Prix "has not been ruled out". Surgery was carried out by Dr. Xavier Mir, Head of the Unit for Hand and Upper Extremities Pathology at the Hospital Universitario Quiron Dexeus in Barcelona, on Saturday afternoon.
