Marco Melandri made no secret of his thoughts about returning to MotoGP throughout last year and in Sepang he endured another miserable test and finished slowest of all and over four seconds off the pace. With Alvaro Bautista setting mid pack times, over two seconds faster than Melandri, it's clear that the Aprilia is capable of much more than Melandri is able to perform at the moment.
