Moto3: Rookie Martin shines for Mahindra

Honda's Fabio Quartararo might not be the only rookie challenging at the front of Moto3 this season. While the young Frenchman has led both official pre-season tests, fellow newcomer Jorge Martin was just 0.013s slower at the conclusion of this week's Jerez outing. “We already found a good set-up yesterday and today we started feeling very comfortable,” said the new Aspar Mahindra rider. “I enjoyed riding from the first lap, I felt very comfortable on my race simulation and set a good pace using the medium compound tyre. “Immediately after the simulation we put in the softest tyre and as soon as I went out I set my best lap.
